African impact in Australia
On Monday, 19 August 2024, in my capacity and my role as a community leader, I was invited at the University of Western Australia to participate and give a range of insights and experiences that are paramount to the living of Africans in Australia as part of the AFRICAN IMPACT IN AUSTRALIA PROJECT.
The AFRICAN IMPACT IN AUSTRALIA PROJECT is Conducted by interdisciplinary team of professors from different universities across Australia, with the Lead Chief Investigator, Professor Farida Fozdar (Anthropology and Sociology – Curtin University). The project examines the nature and impact of political and economic agency and contributions of African migrants in Australia, focusing on topics including:- Africans’ political and economics activity in Australia, and what influences, enables, or prevents them from pursuing such activities- The Orientation of Africans toward local/state/national activity, compared with countries/ communities/ regions of Origin- The range of influences on the political and economic agency of African Migrants.- Etc.
The AFRICAN IMPACT IN AUSTRALIA PROJECT is intending to make a meaningful contribution to African communities in Australia and to the broader Australian society by helping to identify their positive contribution to Australia, to counter the common negative perceptions of Africans in Australia.
